After a run in with the perspective buyer and me not have had finished it, I finally got my procrastinating ass in gear and finished the bastid. turned out quite well, had to put on a base to make it more steady. Was going to use a peice of black marble from a slab that had broke, but being as the slab broke the piece I used had a bunch of fissures that eventually broke when I started handling it. Instead, I used a piece of old countertop material left over, the stone is called Marrion Cohiba. little disappointed I couldn't get more of a shine, but I was working under some supposed time constraints and feared using a recrysalizing agent, as it might have adverse affects on the stone.
